Improve Your MLM Recruiting Skills
Recruiting is a very important component of any Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) business. If you don’t recruit new distributors, you can’t increase your business. While it’s not a hidden part of MLM businesses, most people seem to struggle with recruiting. It doesn’t have to be that way. Keep reading and you’ll find a few recruiting tips that you and your group can use to grow and improve your MLM business.
1. When you introduce your MLM business to a new prospect, try to see the business through their eyes and ears. It will get harder with time as you become so familiar with the business that you tend to assume that they know things they can’t possibly know. Your new prospects don’t know how great your products are until you show them. They don’t know how great your compensation plan is until you shown them how much you make or explain it to them. Don’t assume but instead ask questions and listen to their answers. You can learn what is important to them and take it from there.
2. Don’t just focus on work. Spend time establishing rapport on a personal level. Find out who they are and what they enjoy doing. Everyone loves to talk about themselves. You may discover what their hot button is by listening to them talk about their hobbies or passion. They may also tell you what they don’t like about their life at the moment. Make new friends and they will be more attentive when you give your sales pitch.
3. Improve your communication skills. Communication starts with being a great listener. Don’t just listen to people but hear what they have to say. Focus on their words or even the hidden meanings between the lines. Don’t try to come up with your next subject of conversation, simply be attentive. There’s a reason why you have two ears and one mouth!
4. Time is money. While it’s important to build rapport between you and your new prospect and truly listen to what he or she has to say, you need to get a “yes” or “no” as soon as you can. After all, recruiting is an important part of your MLM business and the sooner you find out that a person isn’t interested, the sooner you can start talking to another prospect.
Basically, to become a better MLM recruiter, you have to ask questions, carefully listen to their answers and make a decision as to what the fastest way for you is to grow your network marketing business. Repeat these steps over and over again and teach your downline to do the same. You’ll be better recruiters in no time!
