Becoming an Affiliate Without a Website
If you’re interested in becoming an affiliate marketer, but don’t wnat to put the effort into building your own website to promote affiliate products, there are a number of options available to you as an affiliate without a website.
I would like to point out that, if you want to create a long-term, sustainable, income, you’d be better off creating a website. Having a website allows you to create a huge “list” of e-mails by offering a newsletter or opt-in section for free products, which will enable you to e-mail these individuals with new product information for the rest of eternity (or until they opt-out).
But, you can always start off as an affiliate without a website by posting on blogs and online forums, write an e-book or create another form of information product, write reviews or ads for classifieds websites, and even promote affiliate products through pay-per-click ads.
Affiliate Blogger:
Blogging is probably the easiest way to get the hang of affiliate marketing. You can get an affiliate link by signing up for FREE with an affiliate network directory (such as clickbank.com) and start posting on blog sites that are relevant to the product you are promoting. There is no point in promoting products that no one wants to buy, so be absolutely sure you target the right audience by posting on blogs related to your niche or market!
Always, always, always be sure that the content you post on blog sites is quality stuff, otherwise you could be targeted as a “spammer” and your posts can be deleted, or you could even be banned from posting on those sites. If your content is consistently high quality, your readers will be more likely to click on your affiliate links. I really can’t stress it enough when i say that you NEED to remember to provide high quality content, so don’t slack off in this area.
Creating an e-book or other information product:
Creating an e-book really isn’t as difficult as it sounds. You don’t need a degree from a top-notch school, heck … you don’t even need a high school diploma! You have the option of paying someone to write the content for you, or you can simply write it yourself.
An e-book can be any number of pages long, as long as you are providing quality and interesting content and it should include a number of your affiliate links. If your content is informative and people like what you have to say, your e-book can become highly successful and spread like wild fire!
You will need to figure out how you want to market your e-book and can even tell your customers that they can redistribute it if they’d like at no additional cost so that your book spreads quickly and reaches a much larger audience. Ebay is another avenue available to sell and promote an e-book. This is usually a great starting point until you find other websites that might promote your product for you.
Write ads or reviews:
Writing ads and reviews is fairly simple and you can always pay someone to write them for you. All you have to do is find an affiliate product, write a positive review, insert your affiliate link a few times within the content and viola, you’re ready to start making some money. Then you can post the reviews on classifieds websites like Craigslist.org.org so that consumers can find your reviews. Remember, creating very high quality content is a must!
Pay-per-click advertisements:
If you’re unfamiliar with pay-per-click, please visit this website to learn how it works before going this route. Pay-per-click requires you to invest your hard-earned money, so you’ll want to do your research and fully educate yourself before getting started. That being said … you can write your own pay-per-click ads that foward the person that clicks on your affiliate link to the vendors sales page.
There are some drawbacks to this method, but it can also create HUGE amounts of income for you, if done right! One drawback is that you cannot control how well written the sales pages are for the products you refer your customers to. The sales pages written by the vendor may not be that great and the customer can potentially leave the page after just a few seconds. Since you “pay-per-click”, you will have lost your investment.
Another drawback is that if numerous other people are promoting the same product as you, which happens quite often, Google Adwords (for example) may only allow 1 ad for each product to appear at once in their search engine results. This means that your ad may not appear very often and you may not end up getting many potential customers to click on your ad.
So, now that you know your options for becoming an affiliate without a website, you can begin researching which method works best for you.
