Do people in the industry tell you to use the 3 foot rule where you speak to everyone in 3 feet of you? What other old school methods did your upline bust out? Does it makes it hard to believe that your business is at the heart of your upline when marketed this way?

I know that when I first joined my first network marketing company, I was told to use these same techniques. Were you told to make a list of 100 people and to see if they want extra cash.

The thick skin I thought I had wasn’t enough after all of the rejection I witnessed. Uplines tell people that it’s a business of sharing, but not many want it?

I was told that my reason for working the business wasn’t strong enough and why people didn’t want to join. If my “why” was strong enough then I would be successful. My reason for working was not in question, it was my method or my “how” which was. That was until I found out “how” to build my business outside of conventional means.

The “HOW” is a marketing system. There are many out there. There are claims to lots of hits and traffic to your website.

Getting laser targeted traffic is what you really want? Is this “targeted” traffic you can actually use? There is confusion that leads are always useful. No, not all leads are considered equal. Laser targeted leads paired with a marketing system will have your traffic sign up for your information is key. Leads are the foundation to most online network marketing business. To have more than you can handle is necessary.

Marketing system don’t need to be expensive to run. The theory is duplicatable. You should go with a generic one that won’t intrude on your current business. Part of the system is to capture sales and information automatically. The full system works best when you can attract and capture your traffic with quality content.
